Authors Say

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Anita and Bill Dorich at GMBooks. Their patience, encouragement, and commitment to the art of publishing is exemplary. Producing a book can be a daunting endeavor. However, with GMBooks the process is a collaborative effort between author and publisher. The achievement of publication is efficient, highly professional, and very personal at every level. I would highly recommend GMbooks to any author who is seeking a fulfilling and successful publishing experience—

“Everyone at GM has been great. Switching from scripts to prose was far more challenging than I thought it would be. Both Bill and Anita were incredibly patient with me during the writing process and have been absolutely wonderful in championing my novel. This is not a cookie cutter, vanity press operation. Bill and Anita are truly on board with the new model that is collaborative publishing and really go the extra mile. As opposed to a large publisher, the team at GM really make their writers feel like family. We constantly strategize on how to push the novel and Bill has no problem hitting the streets running in order to make things happen. Anita really cares about the work and painstakingly goes over the manuscript and contributes wonderfully to the process. Currently we are now expanding our reach and working on an audio version of The Geek as well as other European avenues for the novel. It’s nice to be part of a publishing house that seems more upset by one bad review than I am.”

“It took me five years to write a book entitled: Nuclear Lies, Deceptions and Hypocrisies. I made the decision to go with an online publisher until a friend insisted that I first meet with Bill Dorich before making my final decision. In just that one meeting with Bill I knew he was the right person to publish my book. Bill and Anita gave me guidance along with their expert editorial advice. They were flexible when I made numerous revisions, making the required changes patiently and professionally. I would not hesitate recommending GMBOOKS for a quality publishing experience. I paid a bit more than the online publishers were offering for their ‘cookie cutter’ method of book production, usually created offshore. However, it turned out to be the best insurance I could have made. I am extremely happy with my first book and first publishing experience. My friend was right, Bill is professional, honest, and to say the least, courteous. He brings new respect to the term “Collaborative” Publishing and during stressful production, GM Books amazingly managed to make me feel like I was their only author.”

“Stepping out into the world as a first time author is no easy feat. I’d heard the worst of it and experienced a lot of it firsthand. I was terrified. That was, until I met Anita and Bill Dorich, and GMBooks. Once the go-ahead was given, they immediately and non-invasively took charge of the process by explaining each step of the publishing industry to me. No matter how personal or complex my questioning, they patiently answered … always putting me at ease, never leaving me with any doubt while constantly making me feel as though I was, and still am, their only client and concern. With absolute respect for the author, Bill and Anita Dorich’s honesty, integrity and forthrightness surpasses any I have ever met in the Publishing Industry: I cannot praise them and the entire GMBooks’ team enough. I hope my next book warrants GMBooks to approve my work for their exceptionally high standard of requirements.”

“Originally the publication of my book was contracted with another publisher. I terminated the contract in frustration but was extremely lucky to find GMBooks. Working closely with Anita and Bill Dorich, the book was published within two months. It was a textbook example of a highly successful author/publisher team effort. The book contains 92 illustrations but GMBooks never raised any objections and were only happy to accommodate the author’s wishes and thus contributed to the success of the book.”
Vojin Joksimovich, Ph.D.
“If you need a book that truly represents what you hope to achieve, look no further than GMBooks. Anita and Bill Dorich’s care, concern, and attention to detail made my publishing experience a dream come true. They were there for me every step of the way. And they continue to believe in my eBook and promote it long after the initial pub-date. How many publishers can you say that about? Very few!”

“I was a previously published author when I met the GMBooks people. They helped me transform what would have been an economically impossible print project into a much better and far less costly eBook format. Their knowledge, experience, and contacts have proved invaluable—but even more important for me is the level of my personal dealings with them. Bill Dorich has been honest, reliable, accessible, and very supportive throughout the project. There simply would have been no “Digital Photography Tutor” eBook (or at least not a very good one) without him.”

“Working with Anita Dorich and GMBooks has been a journey into “the pursuit of excellence.” I approached Anita with the concept for my book, a collection of women’s words of wisdom throughout the world, which was inspired by my own Mother’s wise counsel. For the duration of the effort to bring the book to fruition, both Anita and Bill were unfailing in their assistance. The Dorich team is brilliant in their observations of what is needed to make a book a success. They are true artists in their field, both insightful and knowledgeable, as well as incredibly creative—a truly winning combination. I found their guidance invaluable in making my dream a reality.”
Marie True Evans
“If every book in the English language was published by Bill Dorich and GMBooks, there wouldn’t be any such thing as TV. Bill’s personal touch is exemplary as to the physical product.”

“I’m so glad that I have been able to work with Anita and Bill Dorich at GMBooks. As publishing expands into internet and electronic media, they’ve been able to keep pace and grow right along with today’s evolutionary curve. When other publishers were insisting on doing things the way they had always been done, Bill took a deep breath and headed off into new territory. That was seven years ago, and our series of digital photography eBooks has been moving onward and upward ever since.”
