ABOUT THE AUTHOR: MICHAEL J. YOUNG, M.D.
Is a faulty member a the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) Medicine, in the Departments of Urology and Biomedical Engineering. At UIC, he is the Director of the Division of Urology Innovation and Technology, and functions as a Medical Advisor at The UIC Innovation Center. Currently, he is pursuing the development of new surgical instruments and medical devices, as well as teaching medical and biomedical engineering students at the Chicago campus. Dr. Young holds patents to various medical devices.
Dr. Young’s non-fiction book, The Illness of Medicine, was a review and commentary on the current status of our healthcare delivery system. It was a compilation of his experiences over more than 25 years of clinical practice. In his previous novels, Consequence of Murder, and Net of Deception, Dr. Young applied his medical expertise as a predicate for vulnerabilities in the medical environment. Dr. Young continues to work in the field of medical device innovation. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, photography, and is an avid golfer.
